Performance
to Date:
Metyo
was graded in Holland before being purchased by
his previous owners in January 2004 when he was
brought to the UK. He scored three 8’s and
one 9 at his grading and was described as being
gifted as a performance pony. Metyo was 3rd at Addington
in the Snuggy Hoods National 5 year old dressage
pony championships, with 70%. He was competed by
his previous owner who was a young teenage girl
and has also competed once in a BSJA Kitt Kraiburg
qualifier with another young jockey. Lack of a junior
rider means his competition record is not as full
as it could be. His last junior jockey also hunted
him for a season with the West Somerset Vale where
he proved himself equally capable of tackling cross
country fences. He is always well behaved in company
and is always ridden in a snaffle bridle.
Summary
of Competitions:
Judges always comment on his
easy paces and light footfall in dressage competitions.
He has been schooled by a current member of the
GB young riders squad who commented that he had
bigger movement than her then top dressage horse.
Breeding File:
Metyo
has offspring in Holland who are just starting their
competition careers. He has 4 yearlings from his
first season standing in the UK, 2 of which are
out of horse mares who were AI’d. All these
youngsters have bright characters, good conformation
and excellent movement.
